With generous help from American Legion Post 10 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3617,
East Wenatchee Rotary was able to provide a high-quality flagpole for the new East Wenatchee
Police Department headquarters.
The impressive flagpole was dedicated at the new department headquarters on Simon Street
on the morning of June 14, 2024.  The flagpole was a Rotary project.  When approached on the idea, Wenatchee
American Legion Post 10 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3617 agreed to provide generous help in providing the
flagpole.  A sponsor recognition plaque provided by Rotary and placed at the base of the pole recognizes all three sponsors.
A formal dedication ceremony took place the morning of June 14.  Participants included East Wenatchee Mayor
Jerrilea Crawford, Police Chief Rick Johnson, Assistant Chief Erik Hampton, Officer Ivy Jurgensen, and several members
of American Legion Post 10 and VFW Post 3617.  It was great to be able to work with Post 10 and VFW Post 3617
to get this project done!
